Create Your Own Information Product Empire

Information products or digital products can be extremely profitable. Think about it. There's no shipping costs, no printing costs. Once the product is created, you can sell it over and over again. All you have to do is to come up with a good marketing plan.

There are many ways to create information products. You can:

1. Research and write it yourself. Find a topic that is close to your heart and that you're passionate about. Think about your interests and expertise. What do your friends often come to you for?

2. Hire someone else to write it. There are ghostwriters you can hire to do all the writing for you. For example, check out Elance. Many info-marketers have used elance to come up with the content of their ebooks.

3. You can get public domain works and publish them. Or you can modify them and create a new work.

Anyway, if you want to read more about how to create information products FAST, be sure to take a look at this site. This guy has made a TON of money just from selling ebooks.

Create Your Own Covers?

You may decide not to use a professional designer for your ebook covers. In that case, you have two options.

Number one - use free ebook cover templates that are out there and insert your own graphics using a program like Paint. The advantage is that, er... well... it's free. The disadvantage is that most of the free templates I've seen out there are of poor quality. See some examples here. Honestly, don't you want a cover representing your product to be something that you can be proud of?

Number two - you can purchase software that generates ebook covers automatically, e.g. Ecover Generator. This is a step up. But it will still set you back $97. And it's still not completely customizable.

The bottom line is if you need custom work done on your ebook cover, there's no better place to turn to than to hire a good designer.

Increase Your Newsletter Opt-In Rate

One of the ways to increase your opt-in subscribers is by showing a visual of what your newsletter looks like. For instance, you can put up a graphic of your newsletter cover on your main site where you ask for opt-in subscribers.

Here's one I did for one of my clients:

People tend to remember images more than words. This can also serve to brand your site.

Ebook Covers is Today's Featured Blog!

Yay! Ebook Covers blog has been highlighted as today's featured blog on GetBlogs.com, Paul Short's blog search engine and directory. This blog can be found under the "Business & Marketing Blogs" category.

Thousands of blogs are listed at GetBlogs.com and they are neatly categorized into different categories. Under each category, the blogs are listed alphabetically by title. That's one drawback - but you can exploit that feature. Name your blog starting with the number "1" in the title and it will appear first!
